I'm Helen and I've been a professionally qualified therapist for twenty years. I was very interested in Aromatherapy and essential oils but it wasn't until I became redundant from my office job that I considered training and turning my interest into a career. Even after I qualified it took some years before I took the plunge and became self-employed and added other massage skills to my work. I have a particular interest in aromatherapy and a love of essential oils which I use in my treatments. I am also interested in the way our modern lifestyles affect our posture and stress levels both of which can be greatly helped by massage. There is nothing more satisfying than helping other people feel better after a treatment.
Our digital world means that we are constantly looking at screens and this impacts our neck, head, shoulders and back. Massage can help alleviate the muscular aches and tension associated with this. Research has also shown that massage can be very effective in lowering stress levels and boosting the immune system, leaving you calmer, happier and more productive.
